5 AI Business Automations You Can Implement Today
Overview

Our workflow automation connects the software you already use so that information moves between systems without manual effort. An order placed in your store reaches your accounting system automatically. A form submission creates the CRM record, assigns an owner and sends the acknowledgement. A supplier price list arrives and your stock figures update to match.

We build these workflows in n8n, which integrates with thousands of business applications and gives you complete ownership of what we deliver. We work with businesses across the UK and always begin with the process itself, because time spent with the person doing the job reveals the variations and special cases that make a workflow genuinely dependable.

Each build is scoped around a clear return. Before we start we estimate the hours currently spent on the process and set that against the cost of automating it, so you can see the payback period in advance and choose where to begin.

You decide how it runs afterwards. Every workflow is documented with diagrams showing how data moves and what triggers each action, so your team can maintain and extend it. If you would prefer to hand that over entirely, our managed service includes hosting, monitoring and a monthly summary of what the automation has processed.

What’s included
01

Process Mapping First

We spend time with the people running the process before we design anything, which means the workflow reflects how the work is genuinely carried out.

02

n8n Workflow Design

Built on n8n, which supports thousands of integrations and gives you complete portability. The workflows belong to you and move with you.

03

Exception Handling Built In

Every process has variations and special cases. We identify these during discovery and build the handling into the workflow so it copes with your real working conditions.

04

Documentation You Own

You receive diagrams, trigger logic and full credentials handover, documented clearly enough for any developer to pick up and extend.

05

Managed or Self-Hosted

Run the workflows on your own infrastructure or leave them with us. Our managed option includes monitoring, alerting and a monthly performance summary.

How we deliver

Our Business Process Automation Process

01

Step 1: Map the Process

We sit with the people running the process and record how the work is actually carried out, including the variations and judgement calls that make it work.

02

Step 2: Cost the Opportunity

We estimate the hours currently spent against the cost of automating, so you can see the return and decide which processes to tackle first.

03

Step 3: Build and Test

The workflow is built in a staging environment and tested against your real data, including the exceptions identified during mapping.

04

Step 4: Run in Parallel

We run the automation alongside your existing process for an agreed period, so you can compare the output and gain confidence before switching over.

05

Step 5: Handover

You receive documentation, training and a monitoring setup, then choose whether we continue to run it or your team takes it on.

Client work

Connecting the field, the CRM and the ad account

Charterhouse Mobility’s systems now pass data between each other without anyone rekeying it. A job completed in the field updates the CRM, and the resulting sale is sent back to Google Ads as an offline conversion automatically. Before that ran, connecting a completed job to the advert that generated it meant exporting spreadsheets and matching records by hand, which is the sort of task that gets done occasionally rather than reliably. The value in automation is usually a join exactly like that: a small piece of work that comes up every day and that nobody has time to do properly.

Questions

Business Process Automation FAQs

What does a workflow cost?

Workflows start at £1,350, which represents around two days of work at £675 per day covering scoping, build, testing and handover. Multi-system builds with more complex logic are quoted individually. Ongoing hosting and monitoring is available from £400 per month.

Why do you build in n8n?

n8n can be self-hosted, so your data stays within your own environment, and there is no per-task pricing to manage as your volumes grow. For simple two-application connections Zapier is often the more economical choice and we will tell you when that applies.

How quickly does it pay for itself?

Most single-process builds we deliver replace between two and six hours of manual work each week, which typically puts the payback inside a quarter. We provide that calculation during scoping so you can make the decision on the numbers.

Do we need technical staff in-house?

Not at all. We can manage everything on your behalf. Where you do have technical people we would rather train them, because a team able to make small adjustments independently gets far more value from the investment.

How do you handle monitoring?

Managed workflows are monitored continuously and we are alerted to any issue before it affects you. Self-hosted builds log every run and can notify whoever you nominate, so you always have visibility of what has processed.
