Overview

An effective chatbot needs accurate information about your business, which is why ours are built on retrieval. Every answer is drawn from your documentation, product data and policies, so customers get detail that is specific to you. Where a question goes beyond what the chatbot should handle, it passes the conversation to a colleague along with everything discussed so far.

Beyond answering, it takes action. It checks an order against your store and confirms the status. It books the appointment into your diary. It captures an enquiry and writes it into your CRM with the full conversation attached, and it can qualify a lead before it reaches your sales team so their time goes to the right conversations.

We build these for businesses across the UK and we develop the underlying tools as well. Our Forerunner® AI Live Chat plugin has a free version available on WordPress.org and a Pro version with real-time voice and deeper integrations, and our ChatKit plugin brings OpenAI AgentKit workflows onto WordPress sites. You are very welcome to run any of them yourself, and many businesses do.

Where you need something working across your internal systems rather than talking to customers, our AI assistants service is the better fit and we are happy to point you there.

What’s included
01

Grounded in Your Own Content

The chatbot answers from your own product information, pricing and policies, so customers receive accurate detail about your business rather than general guidance.

02

Completes the Task

Connected to your systems so it books the appointment, checks the order status, captures the lead and raises the ticket within the conversation itself.

03

Forerunner® WordPress Plugins

Free, Pro and ChatKit versions of our Forerunner® plugin, so you can begin at the level that suits you and move up as your traffic grows.

04

Model Agnostic by Design

Change the underlying model as better ones become available, which keeps your chatbot current without rebuilding it each time the technology moves.

How we deliver

Our AI Chatbots for Business Process

01

Step 1: Review Your Real Enquiries

We review the enquiries you already receive, usually from your inbox and existing chat history, which shows us what your customers genuinely ask and how best to help them.

02

Step 2: Bring In Your Content

Your product data, pricing, policies and FAQs are brought in so the chatbot answers with information specific to your business.

03

Step 3: Connect Your Systems

We connect it to the systems it needs, whether that is your store, your diary or your CRM, and agree what it handles and when it passes to your team.

04

Step 4: Test Before Launch

We test the conversation flows thoroughly, including the awkward routes, before it speaks to a single customer.

05

Step 5: Launch and Refine

It goes live and we review the transcripts with you over the first few weeks, refining the answers as real conversations show us what to improve.

Client work

From a US insurance network to Suffolk removals

We developed a Forerunner® chatbot for SIAA, the largest independent insurance agency network in the United States, covering 49 regional master agencies and over $18 billion in written premium. It runs as an internal tool rather than a public-facing one, which raises the bar considerably. The people using it are insurance professionals who need accurate answers quickly and who will spot a wrong one immediately, so the work went into grounding it properly and into how it behaves when a question falls outside what it can answer well.

Closer to home, Ivy Cruz, Dr Azoo, Greens Removals and JS Global all run Forerunner® AI Live Chat on their websites, alongside thousands of installations downloaded from WordPress.org. Running the plugin across that range of businesses is how we learn what customers actually ask and where a chatbot needs to hand over to a person.

Questions

AI Chatbots for Business FAQs

What does an AI chatbot cost?

Setup starts at £1,050, which represents around a day and a half at £700 per day covering content ingestion, connection to your systems and testing. Plugin licences begin at £45 per year, and our basic Forerunner® plugin is free if you would like to try the approach first.

Can we set it up ourselves?

Yes, and we would encourage it. Our free Forerunner® AI Live Chat plugin is on WordPress.org and many businesses run it independently. Where you want it configured properly against your systems and content, that is what our setup service covers.

How do you ensure the answers are accurate?

It searches your documentation before responding, so answers are grounded in your own content. Where your material does not cover a question, it says so and hands the conversation to your team with the context attached.

Which businesses get the most from a chatbot?

Chatbots deliver most value where you receive a steady volume of similar enquiries. Where your enquiries are low in number and highly varied, a well-handled contact form often serves your customers better, and we will give you an honest view during the first conversation.

What can it connect to?

Order status, bookings, CRM records, ticketing systems and most software offering an API. The chatbot reads from and writes to them, which is what allows it to complete tasks inside the conversation.

Does it support voice as well as text?

Yes, through the Pro plugin using OpenAI's real-time voice, so visitors can speak rather than type. It suits straightforward queries particularly well, and our voice AI service covers the more complex telephone applications.
