Overview
Healthcare providers, legal firms, financial institutions and government suppliers all have work that AI would accelerate considerably, alongside obligations about where their data may be processed. Open-weight models resolve that, running on hardware you control and keeping client information inside your own environment throughout.
We deploy Llama, Mistral, Qwen and the open GPT releases for organisations across the UK. These models handle document analysis, summarisation, drafting and internal search to a standard that suits the great majority of business use cases. They run either on your own servers or within UK data centres holding SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS certification, depending on how your requirements are framed.
Every deployment begins with your compliance position rather than the technology. We review your data classification, your regulator’s expectations and the security controls you already operate, then design the architecture around them. Access control, audit logging and retention are built in from the start, and you receive documentation your data protection officer can work from directly.
We also plan for what comes next. Open-weight models improve at pace, so each deployment includes a defined route to adopting newer models as they arrive, which protects the value of your investment over time.
Where your questions concern lawful basis, transparency or automated decision-making rather than infrastructure, our AI ethics and GDPR compliance service covers that ground.
What’s included
Open-Weight Models on Your Hardware
Llama, Mistral, Qwen and the open GPT releases deployed on infrastructure you control, so processing takes place entirely within your own environment.
On-Premise or UK Hosted
Full on-premise deployment for the strictest requirements, or certified UK data centre hosting with SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS where that is proportionate to your needs.
Compliance Documentation
Data flow diagrams, access control records and processing documentation prepared for your DPO and your auditors, in the format they expect to receive it.
Regulated Sector Experience
Healthcare, legal services, financial institutions and government supply chain each operate under different requirements. We work to the ones that apply to you.
A Planned Upgrade Path
Open-weight models advance quickly, so every deployment is designed with a clear route to adopting newer models as they become available.
How we deliver
Our Private AI & Data Sovereignty Process
Step 1: Compliance Review
We establish precisely what your regulator, your contracts and your internal policies require, which gives us a clear framework to design within.
Step 2: Architecture and Sizing
We select the models, determine the hosting approach and size the hardware against your expected usage, presenting options at different investment levels.
Step 3: Secure Deployment
Models are deployed, access controls configured and audit logging enabled, then tested thoroughly to confirm data remains within your approved environment.
Step 4: Documentation Handover
We produce the data flow diagrams, processing records and access documentation your DPO and auditors will ask for, written in the form they expect.
Step 5: Ongoing Review
We provide regular security reviews and model updates within your framework, keeping the deployment current as both the technology and your requirements develop.

What this looks like in practice
We deployed a local LLM for an investment management firm whose compliance position required all processing to remain within their own environment. The models run on their servers, integrated into the existing infrastructure so that nothing had to be rebuilt around them, and the build includes a defined upgrade path to newer models as they become available. We are under NDA on the detail.

Questions
Private AI & Data Sovereignty FAQs
What does private AI deployment cost?
Deployments start at £5,500, which represents around eight days of work at £690 per day covering the compliance review, architecture and deployment. Hardware and hosting are quoted separately so you can see each element clearly. Ongoing review is available from £400 per month.
How do open-weight models compare with ChatGPT?
For document analysis, summarisation, drafting and internal search, the current open-weight models perform to a standard most users find entirely comparable. On the most demanding reasoning and coding work the frontier models retain an advantage. We will assess your specific use cases and give you a clear view before you commit.
Which businesses benefit most from this?
Private deployment makes most sense where you operate under regulatory requirements or handle genuinely sensitive information. Where no such constraint applies, standard cloud services are more economical and quicker to adopt, and we will say so during the initial conversation.
What hardware is required?
This depends on the model size and how many people will use it at once. A capable setup for a small team costs considerably less than most expect. We size it during the architecture stage and present options at several price points so you can choose.
Who maintains the deployment?
Either of us, according to your preference. Models advance quickly enough that a deployment benefits from updating within the year, and we can handle that on a retainer or train your IT team to manage it themselves.
