We are looking for a Junior WordPress & Digital Designer to join our team and support the delivery of websites, digital projects and ongoing client work.

WordPress and Elementor will form the core of the role, but this is intentionally a varied position. Our workload changes from month to month, so we are looking for someone who enjoys working across different areas of a digital agency rather than being restricted to one narrow specialism.

You might spend one week building a new client website and the next improving our own portfolio, preparing client case studies, gathering campaign results, creating social media graphics or helping with other digital projects.

Training and support will be provided, and we do not expect candidates to already be experts in every area listed below.

Core Responsibilities

WordPress & Website Development

  • Build and update WordPress websites primarily using Elementor Pro.
  • Create responsive page layouts across desktop, tablet and mobile.
  • Work with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and dynamic content.
  • Assist with custom post types, templates and Elementor Loop Grids.
  • Make changes using HTML and CSS where required.
  • Help troubleshoot WordPress, plugin and layout issues.
  • Assist with website migrations, staging sites and launches.
  • Follow best practices for website performance, accessibility and technical SEO.
  • Maintain and update websites within our existing client portfolio.

Internal Marketing & Portfolio Work

When client website workloads allow, you will also help develop and market our own business.

This may include:

  • Updating our website and portfolio.
  • Creating and publishing case studies.
  • Gathering client results, statistics and insights.
  • Preparing before-and-after examples of our work.
  • Organising screenshots, creative assets and project information.
  • Helping showcase recent projects across our website and social channels.
  • Supporting the development of new service pages and internal projects.

Wider Digital Support

Depending on workload and your interests, you may also assist with:

  • Creating social media graphics and content.
  • Canva design work.
  • Making updates to client social media content.
  • Basic image editing and asset preparation.
  • Email marketing and digital content.
  • Research and competitor analysis.
  • Basic analytics and reporting.
  • Supporting SEO and digital marketing tasks.
  • Simple video editing where relevant.
  • Gain insights into app and plugin development.

Experience in all of these areas is not required. Training can be provided, and we are particularly interested in people who enjoy learning new tools and developing a broad digital skill set.

This role would suit someone who already has a good foundation in WordPress and digital design but wants to develop into a much broader digital specialist.

You will have the opportunity to gain experience across website development, digital marketing, creative content, analytics and technical WordPress work.

We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone who is curious, technically minded, visually aware and willing to learn.

As your skills and responsibilities develop, there will be opportunities to take greater ownership of website projects and progress into a more senior technical or digital role.

Essential Requirements
  • Good working knowledge of WordPress.
  • Experience using Elementor or Elementor Pro.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design.
  • Good visual judgement and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with different types of digital content.
  • Willingness to troubleshoot problems and learn new technical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Good written communication and organisational skills.
Highly Desirable Experience

You do not need to have experience in all of the following, but any would be beneficial:

  • Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
  • HTML and CSS.
  • JavaScript or PHP.
  • Custom post types and dynamic WordPress websites.
  • Web Hosting Experience with cPanel and WHM
  • Technical SEO.
  • Website performance optimisation.
  • Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Social media content creation.
  • Google Analytics or Search Console.
  • Video editing.
  • cPanel, hosting and domain management.
  • WP-CLI.
  • AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Warp, Claude or similar.
  • WordPress plugin development.
